About the role
Can Ridge Industries Ltd. is seeking a full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic or Commercial Transport Mechanic to maintain and repair a mid-sized fleet of commercial vehicles and folding-boom and stiff-boom cranes in a modern, well-equipped 6,000 sq. ft. shop in Pitt Meadows, BC.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles and mobile cranes
- Project planning and execution
- Complete work safely using required PPE
- Complete assigned work accurately and on time
Requirements
- Ticketed Commercial Transport or Heavy Duty Mechanic, or equivalent experience
- Five years of heavy-equipment or commercial-transport mechanic experience
- Commercial Vehicle Inspector certification is an asset
- Valid Class 3 licence or higher is an asset
- Hydraulic and mobile-crane repair experience is an asset
- Organized, punctual, dependable and able to work with minimal supervision
- Physically able to perform labour-intensive work
Schedule & home time
Schedule
Full-time · Monday to Friday · 8- or 10-hour day shifts · overtime and occasional weekends as needed
Compensation
$44–$48/hour
